Volunteer

Professionals Night!

One person can make a difference, and that person is you! Volunteer the third Tuesday of each month from 6 - 8 p.m. at our Drop-in Center at 1495 Maple Dr. in Ft. Myers.  We are looking for individuals from all types of professions to talk with our youth about your career.  Volunteers must be at least 21 (2 hours per month) and are required to complete a background screening, driving check and. Cooking Lunch for the Bears!

Interested in helping with lunch time for our precious little ones?  Each weekday from 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. you will have the opportunity to prepare a hot lunch and serve children in our Early Learning Centers in Naples.  The address is 4705 Outter Drive.  Volunteers must be 21 years of age and commit to two days per month.  Volunteers are required to complete a background screening and orientation. Administrative Support

Volunteers are needed in our Maravilla office located in Ft. Work Study Program for our Independent Living Youth!

If you own a business or your workplace is interested in "adopting" one of our youth aging out of foster care, this is for you.  Children's Home Society of Florida is encouraging businesses to "hire" youth or engage them in a volunteer position.  This allows the opportunity for our youth to experience a professional workplace, experience positive relationships and help build their resume.  Interested businesses should contact Christina Sims at 239-344-0222.

Internships Opportunities

If you are required to participate in an internship, community service or practicum for your college degree, we have several opportunities in the areas of adoption, clinical services, early childcare learning and marketing. Individuals who participate in our internship program must complete a background screening, motor vehicle screening, and drug testing.  Some positions provide a small stipend for the internships.  If you are interested contact Rebecca McGuire,Ph.D. at 239-344-0222.
