Kyle and the Family Connections Program

Before 7-year-old Kyle came to Children's Home Society of Florida, he was often left home alone for days at a time. His dad was on the road and couldn't afford to pay someone watch little Kyle. Though he loved his son, Kyle's dad wasn't sure how to make ends meet and still provide proper care and supervision.

With Kyle's safety and best interests in mind, his dad began receiving counseling and reached out to Children's Home Society of Florida's Family Connections Program for help. Through the program, we helped him find a job in town that allowed him to pay his bills and still be home for Kyle. Today, Kyle enjoys spending time with his dad, sharing meals together and doing homework together. Because of the extra support he now receives from his dad, Kyle just made the honor roll.
