Internships
Our internship opportunities offer college students valuable hands-on learning and real-world experience in a variety of settings while they make a considerable difference in the lives of children and families. Though our internships are unpaid, you’ll benefit from working closely with seasoned professionals dedicated to serving children and families in our community. As you apply your knowledge in the workplace, you’ll see firsthand how your contributions and expertise can change lives.
Internship placements are available for students in a variety of academic concentrations and may be available for both bachelor's and master's degree candidates. Programs accepting interns include:
Dependency Case Management (Hillsborough county)
Provides case management and support services for children who have been abused, abandoned and/or neglected.
Provides emergency group care and shelter services for children ages 6-18 who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect and/or abandonment. These programs provide 24-hour supervision, therapy, case management and behavioral interventions.
Provides collaborative services to help identify resources to fulfill the organization's mission and meet the needs of children and families of our community.
Qualifications
To qualify for an internship, you must be enrolled to receive college credit for the internship. Please contact the internship placement coordinator at your college/university to verify you have fulfilled all course pre-requisites prior to beginning the internship placement process with CHS.
