Central Florida Events
Children's Home Society of Florida (CHS), Central Florida Division holds four fundraising events annually, including the newest to our event family, An Evening of H.O.P.E.
An Evening of H.O.P.E.- This event is held in February and is a New Orleans-themed gala to support The Faine House, CHS' partnership with Jeff Faine, Center for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, providing a home and counseling for young adults who have recently aged out of Florida's foster care system.
Turning Lives Around- Held in May each year, this event is a luncheon with a program that highlights CHS' successes and future plans. With attendance of around 250 annually, this is CHS Central Florida's largest event.
A Family Affair- Each December, Universal Orlando Resort opens its doors to CHS Central Florida and our supporters for A Family Affair. Attendees enjoy a luncheon to award the R. David and I. Lorraine Thomas Child Advocate Award to a community member who has made great strides in the fight against child abuse. Attendees then enjoy both Universal Orlando Resort parks for the day.
Mercedes Dream Car Drawing- After months of ticket sales, CHS Central Florida partners with Mercedes-Benz of Orlando in Maitland for a wonderful evening of food and friends before pulling the winner of a brand new Mercedes-Benz.
In addition to our four annual events, many local businesses and community organizations hold fundraising events to benefit CHS Central Florida throughout the year. Please be on the lookout for these opportunities to make a difference in the life of a child!
