An Evening of Taste raises more than $41K for CHS
Release date: 5/19/2011
An Evening of Taste with Chef Matthew Medure raised more than $41,000 for Children’s Home Society of Florida on May 1 at Matthew’s Restaurant in San Marco.
The elegant evening included a personal presentation of Chef Medure’s most exclusive menu items, a harpist and an eclectic silent auction full of exciting packages from more than 80 donors that raised more than $14,000 alone. The restaurant was opened exclusively for the event and was filled with about 120 guests.
“We are so thankful to everyone involved who made this event such a success,” says CHS Buckner Division Executive Director Kymberly Cook. “From the volunteers who put it together to those who helped collect silent auction donations, to all the in-kind donors, patrons and sponsors, you all came together with one goal in mind, and now your efforts will help in the effort to stop abuse and neglect for more and more children.”
Sponsors included CSX Corporation and Lichlyter Consulting, Inc., as Executive Sponsors and Eisman and Russo as Supporting Sponsors. In-kind sponsors included Dan Harris Photo Art, Rev. William Reister as the evening’s harpist, and Sight & Sound Productions. Paul Lichlyter served as Event Chair, while Ponte Vedra resident Emily Coleman served as Silent Auction Chair.
