House and Senate Messenger/Page Programs
CHS is pleased to offer grant assistance for a few select youth in foster care to serve as House and Senate Messengers/Pages through the Florida Legislature’s unique program. After youth receive a sponsor in the House or Senate, they spend a week in the Florida Legislature, working and fulfilling responsibilities deemed appropriate by their legislative sponsors. Several of our 14 divisions sent foster youth to Tallahassee in 2009, and we look forward to sending more in 2010. For more information on the program, or to learn how youth in your area can participate, please click here for House Messenger/Page Information, click here for Senate Page Program Information.
