*Children’s Home Society of Florida received a 2010 national Adoption Excellence Award in the category of Adoption of Minority Children from Foster Care.
*Leadership Florida honored Children's Home Society of Florida with the 2010 Statewide Community Award, recognizing our commitment to improving the lives of Florida's citizens through collaboration, leadership and innovation.
*The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute named Children's Home Society of Florida a 2009 Congressional Angel in Adoption, honoring our outstanding advocacy of adoption and foster care issues.
*In both 2009 and 2010,The Orlando Sentinel named Children's Home Society of Florida a Top 100 Company for Working Families in Central Florida, a distinction that commends our commitment to our staff and clients.
*The Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission awarded Children's Home Society of Florida with the Judges Award in its 2009 William C. Schwartz Innovation Awards, recognizing our annual Innovation Symposium that brings together internal staff and external partners to share creative, research-based, solutions-driven programs that impact the way we care for children and families.

*Accredited continuously since 1982 by the Council of Accreditation (COA), Children's Home Society of Florida is the second-largest non-governmental not-for-profit organization in the United States and Canada accredited by COA. Accreditation recognizes our commitment to providing the highest quality of care and service while adhering to the toughest administration standards. Only 1,800 organizations in the United States and Canada have earned the distinction of COA accreditation.
*Florida Coalition for Children honored CEO David A. Bundy with the 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his “career filled with a lifetime of service and accomplishments that have made a difference in the lives of Florida’s neediest children and their families.”
*Dependency Case Manager Lisa Coleman, with our Emerald Coast Division, was named the Florida Coalition for Children’s 2010 Dependency Case Manager of the Year.
*Buckner Division foster parents Joseph and Linda Acker were named Foster Parents of the Year by the Florida Coalition for Children.
*Dale and Pamela Tadlock, adoptive parents with our North Central Division, were named 2010 Congressional Angels in Adoption by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute.
*Longtime Children's Home Society of Florida friend Jim Sackett was named a 2010 Congressional Angel in Adoption by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute.
*The United States Department of Health and Human Services honored South Coastal Division board member Linda Coffin with a national Adoption Excellence Award for Individual Contributions.
*Healthy Families Florida named two Children's Home Society of Florida team members 2009 Family Assessment Workers of the Year: Carlos Araujo, Southeastern Division, and Belinda Cisneros, Southwest Division.
*Healthy Families Florida named our Healthy Families Miami-Dade Program the 2009 Program of the Year.
*Healthy Families Florida awarded Healthy Families Walton and Healthy Families Collier with 2009 Certificates of Excellence.
*Summer Pfeiffer, Children's Home Society of Florida Director of Governmental Relations, received the 2009 Chairman’s Award, the highest honor awarded by the Florida Coalition for Children.
*Dean and Debbie Heaton, adoptive parents with our Buckner Division, were named 2009 Congressional Angels in Adoption by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute.

*Teresa Brown, Counselor with our Buckner Division, was honored as the 2008 Therapist of the Year by the Florida Coalition for Children.
*The Florida Coalition for Children named Buckner Division’s Tramona McClain Social Worker of the Year in 2008.
*Janice Claiborne, Dependency Care Manager with our Brevard Division, was named Florida Coalition for Children’s 2008 Dependency Case Manager of the Year.
*David A. Bundy, Children's Home Society of Florida President/CEO, received the 2008 Chairman’s Award, the highest honor awarded by the Florida Coalition for Children.
